“Sisters”

All’inizio del 2017 Brian Eno ha pubblicato Reflections, opera che attraverso una combinazione di algoritmi crea un flusso di musica che gli addetti ai lavori definiscono ambient. Io la definirei la musica del nulla, del vuoto assoluto e la prova di tutto ciò è Sisters, opera gemella reperibile solo in download gratuito. La voglia di sperimentare porta Eno a un approccio diverso con la musica che, a dire il vero, qui

è praticamente assente. Nessuna melodia e note dilatate, pensate per creare un’atmosfera che non si comprende bene quale sensazione possano determinare nell’ascoltatore. Poco più di un’ora di completa catalessi “generati” dagli algoritmi “manipolati” da Peter Chilvers, probabilmente utili come sottofondo durante una seduta psichiatrica o in un acquario. Per tutto il resto le quattro sorelle Hannah, Irial, Darla e Anya non credo abbiano alcuna attrattiva in chi vuole ascoltare un album dal suono corposo. E non mi riferisco a un genere particolare, perché saranno in pochi a potersi deliziare con questi quattro brani che tra di loro differiscono solo nel titolo.
